This afternoon she is back up a bit but the poops are getting mushy from the baytril. We have 1 day left.

Darn it. It took months when we got her in October to fix her poops. They were mushy like now.
So, I have flagyl which is what helped last time. Should I give it or just stop AB's all together? She only had 2 doses of baytril left.
She is eating and drinking. Her poos are just like formed mud. If she is laying down they get flattened. If not, she leaves them in the general shape of a normal poo but very soft.
SHould I give CC and pedialyte or just let her be? Arrgghhh!!

Great, now she had one that was firmer but had a mucousy thing attached to it. Just a small amount but really sticky. (excuse this example but it was like a brown booger). Just a tiny tiny amount, like 1/4 of a normal poo size.
She is eating hay right now and acting ok. I am stopping all AB's immediately. If she has any more mush or mucous I will give some CC and pedialyte. Otherwise maybe her tummy just needs to heal?
I read somewhere that mucous means the GI is shutting down? Is this true???
I am sorry to be a pain in the butt right now with questions...

I am sorry Sierra is not feeling well. I have no advice because I have not had any pigs with this problem.
Sending good thoughts to Sierra

well she just had 5 poops that were good consistency, just weird shape...this pig gets my emotions all up and down! I found the poop and did a cheer. (I direct a cheerleading program for my church during basketball). My husband is rolling his eyes.

The mucus thing is from the gut being a little out of whack. Can you make her some poop-soup today?

Yes I can. It's been awhile. Last time I made her poop soup my 5 year old son got so disgusted with me. The poops are still a bit soft today but better than yesterday for certain. She is now 24 hours off baytril. She is holding at 930 and eating well. Not as much as usual but enough to make lots of poops and maintain. So, I did not start CC.

"As the poops go, so goes the pig."
I've even got Cavydad noticing poops.

Sierra's poops are back to normal finally but she has not regained the lost weight. She used to fluctuate between 930-950 and now it is between 908-925.
I know she is eating because I have been watching her. I have been giving about 10cc of critical care each evening. I don't want to give too much so that she doesn't eat on her own.
Any advice?

They can sometimes be slow to put the weight back on, after an illness. Or least mine always have been. I don't think I'd be overly concerned unless she continues to lose despite having a good appetite. Huggles to Sierra.

It doesn't help that she is the picky one too. So I splurged on red bells cause green just don't cut it for her sudddenly and got some timothy to add to the orchard to entice more hay eating.
