One hour to 90 minutes afterwards. Is that good?
So the long skinny poops don't indicate a probelm per se, and will most likely go away when she is finished with the baytril?

Yes, I usually wait at least an hour before giving a probiotic.
Baytril can cause gastric upset and slowed motility. I generally don't worry too much unless the poops get soft or mucus-y, OR the pig loses its appetite. The poops usually get back to normal a few days after the AB's are stopped.
I'd just monitor closely at this point, and make sure she continues to eat and drink normally and produce stools.

Should I give some CC even though she is eating? Just for added boost?

Ok, I just came home to check on them. Guinness is ok. Sierra had some urine deposits that were the exact color of the oxbow vit C tabs. I have been grinding them up to syringe with the acidophious. Could it be the extra C? Or should I worry because they are offwhite deposits? They are not gritty, just powdery and maybe one was slightly pastey. She is grubbing and I mean GRUBBING the new orchard hay that just arrived!

Powdery is okay. It sounds like it's just excess calcium in the urine. Yay on the hay grubbing!

I just freaked because it was not white, but sort of offwhite. The same color as the old oxbow tablets. She just stole a corn husk from Cass so her appetite is good.

Color of urine can vary, depending on diet.
My guys got corn husks tonight, too!

Well, Sierra had a starge discharge today. had a slight mucousy feel to it. Not sure if it is from her reporductive organs or not.
SO, we are going at 8:30 am tomorrow to consult with our exotics vet about a possible spay. We talked about this before when she was in for an exam and had a slight discharge then back in December.
This blood may not have been from her urine then I gguess. Can it come out from the vagina as they urinate to look like it is in the urine???
I am SO scared about all of this.

I just re-read my thread on GL for Sierra. She had a bit of vaginal discharge at the vet on 12/16. Then he discussed a spay with me in May too. I'm feeling so down about this.

Aw, poop. Well, try not to worry too much until you talk with the vet tomorrow, okay? I don't have females, so I'm not able to offer much in the way of useful advice. Just keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I'm sorry. Poor little Sierra (and you). Let us know what happens in the morning, okay?

We just got back from Dr Greek. It is definately not pyometra. But could be cysts. So, we can continue the baytil and see how she does since there has been no more mucous. Or we can just do a spay. He told me tho think it over as it is not an emergency. IF she has any other episodes though we know a spay is in order.
I honestly don't know what to do.
But, she is having mushy poop from the baytril. He said as long as it is not diarhea he is not concrened.

Well that's good news, in a way. At least you know what you're dealing with, which helps.
On the poops...just be sure that's she staying hydrated and is still eating, and stick w/ the acidophilus as you've been doing. It should be okay again a few days she's off the AB. How much longer did the vet say to keep her on Baytril?

She on baytril until Monday. She is eating and drinking well. Has some normal poops today now. I just don't know if we should spay or not. She had a wetness on her vaginal region just now, just a little and not thick or overtly smelly so it could have been urine I guess right? He says she should do well with the spay, the aftercare is what I am concerend with though. Am I up to the task?

Sierra is down a bit today. From 950 to 929. I see her eating, but not as much. But, could be because she is in heat today and keeps stopping to rumble up to Cassanova.
If she loses anymore I will start CC.
Today, I am leaning towards the spay.
