I took in a puppy for 3 days and I just found out it has kennal cough. Can guinea pigs catch this? Am I in danger of losing all of the piggies? Anything special I can do to keep the piggies safe?
I try to do something good and bad just keeps on slapping me. Sorry I am a bit scared I have put the piggies in danger.

Kennel cough is bordetella. The general consensus is that, while it's possible for guinea pigs to catch it from a dog with kennel cough, it's not all that likely to happen.
Even so, I would keep the dog away from the pigs. Kennel cough is an airborne bacteria; you don't want that dog barking around the cages. If you can quarantine the dog, by all means do it for your own peace of mind.
And as Jenn and Bugs said, take the usual precautions of handwashing and keeping surfaces clean.
In the future, I'd make sure that any dog you agree to babysit, is up to date on its vaccines.

The dog is kept in the kitchen and there are no piggies in there. I have used so much soap and water on my hands it ain't funny. The dog leaves tomorrow morning and I am going to bleach everything that she came in contact with. So far all the piggies are normal and I am being extra careful not to let them get sick. I am also hoping I do not get sicker being around the dog.

Pigs can get bordetella so keep the dog quarantined. Sending good wishes to you.
