Does anyone else have a pig that likes to "nest"?
Whereas the rest of our guys just eat the hay in their hayboxes, Josh builds little nests out of hay and lays on top of (or under) it, rather like a bird.
Anybody else have a pig who does this?

All of mine do this. I thought it was normal behavior?

I thought it was normal also. The Bug used to burrow into her hay, eat her head off, then get a "nap attack".
I used to love seeing the hay pile shake ;D

Ling Ling and Elvis are my nesters. Ling Ling loves to make a hay tunnel to sleep in. I used to think she was just falling asleep in there by coincidence but she does it every time I put new hay in the cage. Elvis will nest with just about anything he can. He loves to nest in hay and a fleece blanket.

Since I put most of their hay in the hay columns, they've not done it for a while, but I do remember Saffron loved to dig herself under a pile of hay and just camp out there for a while.
I do find that, given the choice of fleece or a pile of hay, my lot almost always opt to sleep on fleece.
