We adopted our 1st piggy, Truffles, last July. She only stayed with us 6 weeks. She had a heart condition and I did not know enough about pigs yet to see what was happening until it was too late.
She was a red and white crested. The last 2 hours of her life, I held her and scratched her crest (she loved it) and she passed in my arms at 2am.
If I had only known of these forums I wonder if I could have saved her.
My attention to Sierra's medical needs is a tribute to Truffles. I know when Sierra drops 10 grams. I will never miss an illness again.
