I swear my piggies are very intelligent and know how to tell the time. I have to be one minute late in feeding them and the choir breaks out wanting their food.
Then when we come home from shopping they know there is something among the food that's for them and again the choir starts.
If I am in the kitchen and walk into the lounge where the girls are Jill ups periscope (head) to see if there is anything for her.

Our Zachary knew how to ring a little bird mirror/bell for attention, and if I didn't walk over to his cage fast enough, he would lift the bell up and off the side of the cage where it was hooked and he would toss it onto the floor. LOL. He was also very quick to learn how to use a ramp up to his hay loft. I have a picture of it somewhere.
Our Harold was also very smart. I used a small plastic clip to help affix the canvas side of his Midwest Habitat cage to the panels/grids. He liked to wait until I clipped it on, and then he would run over, pull it up and off, and then popcorn away. It was a little game of ours. I sure do miss that (I actually have a video of him doing it, but am not quite able to bring myself to watch it yet).
I'll try to think of others!

Albert has a cute thing that he does. If I make kissing sounds, he comes running up to the front of his cage and wants his ears rubbed.

Ian makes kissy noises and make circle motions with his arm and Jay comes waddling for the syringe. Always get piggies use to syringe at young age, they love it!

My guinea pigs all know when it's time to eat. They work together to let me know. It's really a sight to see and a chorus of squeaks that you can dance to with 7 of them squeaking at once and with different pitches as you walk by the room. You have Gilligan, Oreo and Sammy wheaking, Skipper and Mr Bubbles with their normal volume and Dean and BJ softly squeaking. Upon entering the room, it changes to all seven of them chewing on the wire. That has me scrambling around to gather up their veggie trays and providing fingers for nibbling rather than the wires.
In the end I wind up rushing to get their veggies washed and prepared before they chew through the wires or break their teeth trying. All the while, I'm reminded of Scruffy since he taught Mr Bubbles, who has passed the info on to the others.

Such a chorus is music to any cavy-lover's ears! They have you well-trained.

I will also add that Albert knows how to signal displeasure with whatever is (or isn't) in his food bowl by turning it upside in protest.
