I actually enjoy cleaning up after my 7 guinea pigs. It a critical part of caring for them. It is very rewarding to see them get excited, explore and popcorn around their freshly cleaned out cages. I always put a handful of hay in and they love to play in it while they eat it. Even BJ gets excited when he goes in his fresh cage. Mr Bubbles has a certain way he likes his hidey hut, pellet bowl and play things to be arranged and he sets all of that up himself. It's very cute.

I actually don't mind, either. It's sort of...calming? I miss Harold, who loved having his habitat cleaned, and would stick his head under my hand to try to up-end the dust pan whenever I was sweeping up poos. He was so super smart. Now, if we had 100 pigs...I'd have to quit my "day job" for sure.  |
