BJ is such a sweet Guinea Pig! So calm and laid back too. He's a gentle giant; for a guinea pig anyway.

Hi BJ! Handsome boy. And as far as his size...just that much more of him to love. I remember when you got him, I think.

Yes! I told the story in his cavy chronicles thread on Guinea Lynx. He was at the shelter for a long time. He joined our herd at the perfect time. He's not fat. His weight is just about right for his dimensions. I always thought Mr Bubbles was pretty good sized, but BJ makes him look small. Next to Gilligan, BJ looks like a colossal giant.

Here's BJ grazing; at least that's what he was supposed to be doing LOL. He was more interested in Mr Bubbles than eating grass. He does eat quite a bit, but it takes him longer because he wants to be with his older brother.

All of them are still doing well. If things work out like we hope, they're going to have a ton more space by summer. Like a whole room sized area divided into 5 equal parts. Just have to get some things situated and it's off to Missouri.

No family in Missouri. We're just looking at getting out of the big city and going somewhere more rural. Not completely off the grid, but far enough away from it to not have to put up with the garbage that comes with it. We're looking at the area around Ava, which is about 20 minutes from the border with Arkansas. It has a Walmart and a few restaurants, but no homeless and drug infested downtown area very low crime and far better schools for the grandkids.
I'm 56, my wife is 60 and we've never been able to buy property or a house. Between the military and the moving around that comes with it, raising kids and grandkids and the economy, it just wasn't possible. We're in a position now where we can. It's just a matter of getting together the means to move and cutting ties after 20 years in this place. Easier said than done.

We moved to a rural area too almost 5 years ago. Best idea ever! Even hub, a real city boy as well, loves the tranquility a lot. Good luck finding a great spot to move into!

Good luck with the move and BJ says not now forget the pictures sleepy time! I always found if you move into a smaller town they all seem to know your business and I always felt trapped. Maybe it was just me.
Now there are more than 8000 people here, before where we lived about 2000. My husband loves the country, this use to be 50/50 now more people are moving up here. Moved same town different house 2 and a half years ago never again, plus lost 3 piggies and a bunny since moving. Good luck!
