Second nice day in a row. Sammy and Dean got some outside time to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and the little bit of grass that's turning green. I swear it took literally a second after I put them down for them to attack the grass. It was like they have been anticipating it.

Poor little blades of grass didn't stand a chance against those little lawn mowers! But they do look like they are having fun! Beautifully colours.

We're taking advantage of the nice weather. It's not going to last long. Winter isn't quite done yet. Northern Nevada is infamous for false spring and crazy weather. We get a string of days like this in winter and the grass thinks it's time to green up and then it gets nasty and snows, sending it back into dormancy. It also plays tricks on us gardeners. We plant in March and April and get a nasty cold snap with snow in June.

I think Sammy is starting to be a little overweight. He's almost 3 years old now and he's gotten pretty big. He's always been a pretty solid guinea pig, outweighing all of the others, with the exception of BJ. He's a fairly active guy, so there's not a whole lot I need to do to increase his activity level. He is a much faster eater than Dean, so he is probably getting more of the veggies, but I have noticed that Dean will back him off to get first crack at them so I don't think Sammy gets that much more than he does. They're both happy and healthy, so I don't worry about it too much.

3.1 lbs. That's not too bad for his size. He's a pretty big boar. Not BJ big, but bigger than even Mr Bubbles. I just need to keep an eye on it.

I can goose his butt to make him run if he gets too much overweight. He gets excited and popcorns like a wild bronco when I do that. As long as I don't go overboard with it.

My girls do that too! It is funny but as said careful not to do too much of it! Piggies are very entertaining!

Our Albert does that. He got a little too carried away yesterday while I was cleaning his cage, and bonked into the side of the cage. :\
