A tribute to my friend.... He has left some mighty big shoes to fill. He gave us a chance after humans had let him down too many times to count. He was a forgiving soul, it was his nature to love. I hope that he knew every day that we loved him unconditionally. I understood that his skin was extra sensitive and that he hated his ears to be touched. Ling Ling was the only one allowed to touch them. He was more than a pet. He was family and Ling Ling's only pig friend in this world. I truly believe that she would've given up by now if it weren't for him. He brought something out in her. She lost her sight shortly after we adopted him and he was always there for her. He was endlessly patient, gave her first dibs on veggies and the best cozy. He never complained when she nipped at him. If two animals were ever meant to be together, it was these two. Goodbye, Otto. You were gone too soon but I will always cherish the time we had with you. ETA: Thank you to everyone here. Your support has meant so much to me.

That's a great tribute to Otto. I'm sure he knew how much he was loved. I think piggys just have a way of knowing.
I hope Ling Ling is doing well on her own.
Good bye beautiful boy. You've left a large hole behind you.

Sabrina, I'm so sorry this has happened. For all the days of his life with you and Mike and Ling Ling, he knew love, true happiness, and peace. As hard as his loss is, I hope the joy that filled his days with you bring you comfort in his absence.
Rest well dear sweet boy.

Thank you all. Your support means the world to me. I have to go pick up his remains today. It's gonna be a hard day but he'll be home where he belongs.
Ling Ling is eating better (thank goodness) but she's not cleaning herself properly. I'm having to clean her up twice a day. She is enjoying her stuffed puppy and warmer though.

I'll be thinking of you today Sabrina. It's a hard thing you have to do. I am glad to hear that Ling Ling seems to be doing well.

He's home now. It was hard but I'm glad he's here. Thank you Bugs and Sef for the good thoughts.
Someone there, who they said wished to remain anonymous, made a clay paw print set for us. I think it's very nice. He did have great, fat little feet. Until we move to a permanent place, he will remain over Ling Ling's cage, on a shelf.

It was very thoughtful of that person to do his footprints for you. I wish my vet's office did that. It sounds like a good spot for him, Sabrina.
