"Beautiful new 2nd cutting bluegrass will be in our barns this weekend! I have opened the site for pre-sales, but be aware that any order containing bluegrass will not ship until Monday, August 10th.
"2nd cutting timothy hay is close on it’s heels, and should be in the barns in 2-3 weeks. Watch the site for updates!
Also I wanted to take this opportunity to let my wonderful customers know about the Customer Incentive Program. Lots have asked about it, and so the letter below explains how it works for my repeat customers!
Customer Incentive Program"Two years ago, I started a program called the Customer Incentive Program. In the late summer and early fall, I have an extremely heavy debt load to prepare for the rest of the year. Since I am a small company and sole proprietor, I just don’t have $20,000 or so laying around, so I would normally take out a loan and pay interest on it.
"I also used to give repeat customers a 10% discount for re-orders, but I stopped doing that because it got too hard to keep track of and costs keep going up.
"So I thought of a way to accomplish getting cash flow, and also saying thank you to my loyal repeat customers. The Customer Incentive Program!
"It works just like a gift card. You purchase whatever amount you want, and I add 10% to that for purchases you can make throughout the year. So if you purchased $200 in Incentive Credits, I would add $20, and you would have a credit of $220 to spend at the Hayloft. If you purchased $500 in credits, you would then have $550 to spend throughout the year. This includes shipping and handling! It also includes health care books, the calendars, and pellets and hay. It is just like cash to spend at the Hayloft. There are no refunds on the credits, they must be used for purchases and cannot be refunded for cash.
"The great thing about this is that I get to thank my customers with a credit instead of paying bank interest. It comes at a time when I need the heavy cash flow, so everyone wins.
"I keep track of the credits, and on the order form as your choice of payment, you pick Customer Incentive Credits (CIC). When they run out, I will let you know.
"You can use your credits from September 15, 2009 through June 1st, 2010. The reason I have a time limit on it is because I always get low on product in the summer and I don’t want to disappoint you! And I don’t want to have overlapping credits from year to year. That would get too time consuming at tax time.
"Also, I have a time limit on how long I am offering this program. This year, I am opening up purchasing the Customer Incentive Credits from August 5th through August 20th. I reserve the right to stop the program early if I need to. I have a limit on how much credit I can offer before I am working for free
"You can buy the CIC by sending money through paypal, or sending checks. It really is that easy! You will just log into your paypal account, and click “send money”. Enter my paypal email, linda@kmshayloft.com in the “To” field. Then put in the amount of money you want on credit, and click “continue”. When the page changes, it will show the amount, but don’t click the “send money” button . Scroll down the page, and you will see an email field that says “subject”. Type in “Customer Incentive Program”. In the message field, please type in your name the way it appears on your Hayloft account. That will make it easy for me to find your credits. I will add the 10% and send you an email with the total amount of credits on file for you.
"If you are sending a check, in the “memo” field put in “customer incentive program” and please include your email address so I can send you a note that I received the money and your total amount of credits on file.
"Mail your check to:
KM’S Hayloft
10017 N Coulee Hite Branch Rd.
Reardan, WA 99029
"Checks have to reach me by August 25th, so don’t delay if you are sending a check because they have to clear before I credit your account.
"This is going to be a great year! I am so blessed to be heading into another season with the best customers on the planet.
"Take care, enjoy the rest of the summer, and pray for a great timothy harvest!
Linda"
