JILL 15th December 2014 to now Happy 6th birthday sweetheart. So sad your sister's are no longer with you to share this special day. Though the way you love your father slave I don't think you miss them! You were born 15th December 2014 but we celebrate on the 16th as Jessie left us 15th December 2014. And you look similar to her too! We hope and pray we have a few more birthdays to share together! You have bought us much happiness and pleasure and have warmed our hearts with love! Happy birthday darling, 6 years has gone way too fast. Can remember when you came to us! Our baby girl, happy birthday and many more to come!

Thank-you Sef for the pictures. Would your photo information work for GL? On Flickr I could not find the links to put pictures on the forum. But thanks for doing it for me again! Sorry about that! Jill is not talking to us as yet again she had to wear a silly hat. She was glad to get it off even if it was way too big for her!

If any one has prayers and believes please use them for Jill who is not doing too well. We hope she is going to make it but it is touch and go! Will NEVER forgive myself! Same thing happened with her sister Jaffa and sweet Joy. You'd think I'd have learned by now. What a difference a month makes when Jill was 1020grams and now struggling to stay above 800grams.

Thank-you Sef! Touching wood(rubs head) Jill held her own last night. Whilst her poops are still mushy they are less frequent. NO pellet shaped ones though. She is still NOT eating on her own but only lost 6grams since yesterday.
Had to order some oat hay on line as vet unable to get it so gawd knows when that will get here! Can't see any signs of wind but are still massaging with toothbrush and using hot pack wrapped in a towel with more towels on top. She is on 1/10 a tablet of Metomide 3 times a day, Pron8ature(use to be Protexin) 3 times a day and poop soup 3 times a day. Not getting hopes up as have had pigs in the past get better only to go downhill fast the next day or two. Keep you posted. Paws crossed!

Happy birthday Jill! I think it's awesome that you know the exact date of her birth. Out of my 7 boys, only Mr Bubbles is close to knowing his exact birthday. We know that he was born around July 16th 2016. That's within a day or two. When you rescue guinea pigs, they rarely know how old they are exactly. Near as we can tell, Sammy and Dean were born sometime around July 2018. That would make them about 2 and a half years old. Oreo was 3 when we adopted him so he's going on 4 around May of this year. Gillian and Skipper were both around a year old, so they're coming up on their second birthdays.
We have no idea whatsoever how old BJ is. The vet estimated his age at around 5, by looking at his teeth and claws when we adopted him last January. It's not an exact science estimating age like that, but they can get within a few months. That would make him pretty close to the same age as Jill. I just wish I could have gotten him when he was a pup. His life would have been so much better as Jill's undoubtedly has been. She's lucky to have you.

Thank-you renonvsparky! Will never forget Jill's late sister's Jupiter and Jaffa's birthday as they were born 15th December 2014.Same day and year we lost Jessie.
Jinx and Jewel were born 28th February 2017 same day and year we lost Jasmine. We normally celebrate their birthdays the day after. Jill's the 16th, Jewel and Jinx the 29th or 1st.
Hoping BJ gets better soon, hoping that we will get answers for Jill when we go to the vet Wednesday! Thanks again for your reply and wishes.

Okay got test results back for Jill's poop and here they are: LEUCOCYTES: Not detected. ERYTHROCYTES: Not detected. NO parasites detected in direct preparation or zinc floatation. GIARDIA ANTIGEN TEST: Negative. CRYPTOSPORIDIUM ANTIGEN TEST: Negative. CULTURES. Faecal culture for Salmonella sp. : Negative. Faecal culture for Campylobacter sp. : Negative. Faecal culture for Yersinia sp. : Negative. What left is there to test for? Something has to be causing mushy poops and weight lost. Will mention IBS to vet when she gets back to me today sometime. Hoping you can make heads and tails of these results it's all Greek to me for those who care.
