It's sunny and warm today, but the wind is blowing pretty hard. I have methods of blocking it, but only to a point. It's blowing too hard today. Maybe it'll calm down enough later. I have a backup plan for treats if it doesn't. Bought some cilantro and there's enough home grown parsley in the garden to make a good treat.

Well darn it. Poor little Grady has a bit of a boogey nose. He's going to see the vet on Monday. His appetite, water intake and waste output are all normal. So is his activity level. He's as hyper as ever so it should be pretty easy to get taken care of.

Hoping all goes well at the vet. Paws crossed here! Will Wilber be going too for company?

Grady' nose has cleared up on its own. It's been a couple of days since I've seen any moisture or crusties. There is a small sore just below his nostril. I believe that Wilber did that sticking up for himself. The wound is tiny, about the size of one baby guinea pig incisor. They're not fighting. They mostly leave each other alone except for the occasional brush up. I'm still monitoring the situation.

So glad Grady is over the sniffles. Hoping his sore also heals up. Boys will be boys they tell me!

Good news! I'm glad that didn't develop into anything more serious.

He started sneezing and his nose started running again today so he's going to the vet in the morning.

It's a minor URI. He's got his antibiotic. So far he's doing well with it.

Any chance these guys could have allergies? I know mine have been a mess lately.

The babies are doing well. They are fully part of the family now. They come right to the door to greet me just like the others. They both greet me with a finger nibble. Their fear has pretty much melted away. They're still a little bit hard to pick up, but improving on that too. They've grown quite a bit as well, although still noticably smaller than the adults. There hasn't been as much arguing between them as there was when they first arrived. They do a lot of frolicking and popcorning. They're basically happy little kids.
Grady's boogey nose is mostly cleared up. He had a small relapse right when we got back from Missouri so he's back on the antibiotics. Neither the runny nose or the antibiotics seem to be affecting him at all. He actually enjoys the medicine because he takes it willingly. If anything, he has even more of an appetite. Wilber has to do everything Grady does so he doesn't understand why Grady gets the medicine and he doesn't. I can't stand seeing that disappointed look he gets when there's no syringe for him, so he gets a small treat at dosing time. We can't have guinea pigs not being happy.

Oh you old softy! These boys have you trained so well. Hoping Grady feels better soon. So glad they're settling in well.

Oh no, you absolutely can't give one something and not the other. It simply isn't done!
